With just a couple of months to go until the stage is set for  the city’s annual music festival, organisers are reminding gig-goers to get their tickets soon.

Both days are selling well, with the dance day on Saturday and Sunday’s guitar-based day pulling in different crowds – though some people have bought tickets for both.

Mark Whittle, from Preston’s BID, said: “We knew as soon as we signed Pete, Sam,  Embrace and Elvana, that tickets would sell fast, but we’ve been blown away!

“There’s definitely an air of excitement around the city with anticipation for May’s mega music weekend and we are confident the tickets will continue to sell well – so my advice it to grab them while you can, and before the price increases.

“Less than £25 to see this calibre of acts is a bargain, head to other cities, not too far from here, and you’d be paying double.  Plus, you’re surrounding by some brilliant places to shop, eat and drink, all just metres away from the Weekender arena.”
